Timothy Liang started leaning piano with professor Ning Lu and Dr. Jie Lu in 2010.
He completed the comprehensive Level 3 and 5 tests with honors in 2012 and 2013 from The Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory Achievement Program. In 2014 he completed the Intermediate Rudiments theory with first class honors and distinction from the same program.
Timothy obtained a “Best Romantic Performance” Award from The University of Utah Summer Arts 2012 piano competition.
He won the second and third places during the University of Utah Summer Arts 2014 Solo Competition and 2015 UMTA piano concerto competition, respectively.
In the 2015 Summer Arts Timothy also got honorable mentions on both Concerto and Solo competitions.
He won 3rd place in the Summer Arts concerto competition and honorable mention in the Summer Arts solo competition in the summer of 2016
2nd in the UVU piano competition in the spring of 2016.
2017 performed concerto in Libby Gardner Hal with Salt Lake Symphony.
He won American Fork Symphony audition and performed with American Fork Symphony for salute to youth concert 2017.
2017 honorable mention on UMTA piano concerto competition.
