VOLUNTEER AS AMBASSADOR
Ambassadors are musicians of all ages that share their love of music and introduce diverse audiences to the world of classical, folk, and jazz music with performances throughout the community. Opportunities include individual performances in a group setting with other Ambassadors at community outreach events as well as teaching mentorships with our Harmony Hub classes for low-income music students.
Opportunities during the pandemic include recording videos for the COVID-19 Music Response Project, curating a week of music videos for our YouTube Calendar, and performing live on Singing Telegrams through Zoom for senior citizens in partnership with Heart & Soul.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Pianists and instrumentalists of all ages and playing abilities are welcome to apply.
AUDITION FOR PATHWAYS
This program is on hold for the 2020-2021 season due to COVID-19. Thank you to the performers, panelists, teachers, families, and audience members for your support of this program! We invite you to watch the 2019-2020 livestreams on YouTube!
2019-2020: Mundi Project, Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation, and Utah Music Teachers Association are proud to present Pathways, a new music outreach experience for young pianists and young professionals in Utah. The intention of Pathways is to foster experiences emulating career musicians who give back to the community through performances.
Young pianists (7th–12th grade) can apply to be Pathways Performers. Performers collaborate with other pianists to create a concert program and experience the process of refining a program through multiple performance opportunities at elementary schools in Salt Lake County.
For young professionals (“Panelists”), Pathways offers the experience of mentoring young musicians and designing outreach programs with professional support from all three presenting organizations. We welcome college students and recent graduates to apply for an interview to be a part of this exciting new approach to community engagement!
Pathways will select three Panelists and six Performers to lead and contribute to this exciting music outreach program.
