Dr. Ruby Chou is a classical pianist and music educator passionate about community music education, chamber music, and entrepreneurial endeavors.
She specializes in teaching and creating group piano curricula for children, adults, instrumentalists, and intergenerational learning environments.
As Executive Director of Mundi Project, Dr. Chou understands that the community members and young musicians are the heart of Mundi. She recognizes the societal and artistic responsibilities that come with being an integral part of a program that the Utah community needs and cherishes. As Mundi Project embarks on the next chapter, Dr. Chou will continue to advocate for and uphold the mission, vision, and values of Mundi built by the founder, Hana Janatova, and Board of Directors.
Dr. Chou earned a doctoral degree in Music and Human Learning—Piano Pedagogy Specialization from The University of Texas at Austin under the guidance of Martha Hilley and Dr. Laurie Scott. She graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a Master’s degree in piano performance and a Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Utah.
