MEANING OF “MUNDI”
Mundi Project is named after the philosophy “harmonices mundi (harmony of the spheres),” which is inspired by the harmonic theories of Plato, Ptolemy, Boethius, and Johannes Kepler. Harmonices Mundi (Latin: The Harmony of the World, 1619) is a book by Kepler and describes the physical harmonies in planetary motion. According to the view, the earth sings Mi, Fa, Mi, and you can infer—even from the syllables—that in our home misery and famine hold sway. At very rare intervals, however, Kepler believed that all of the planets would sing together in “perfect concord.” Kepler proposed that this may have happened only once in history, perhaps at the time of creation.
