Mundi Project Throughout 2018!

2018 has been an exciting year for Mundi Project! Our Top 3 Moments:

#1: We celebrated Piano Bank’s 200th piano donation and placement!
On November 17th, friends from the community came to celebrate this amazing benchmark of our cornerstone program (est. 2006). Piano Bank recipients and students from our Harmony Hub guitar class showcased their musical endeavors! We have placed 115 pianos in homes of deserving music students and 100 pianos in public spaces for all to enjoy (as of December 18, 2018). Help us continue “play it forward” by spreading the word about donating a piano or applying for a piano!

#2: In July, after a 3-month search process, the Board of Directors hired Dr. Ruby Chou to lead Mundi Project as the new executive director. Dr. Chou was raised in Salt Lake City, but came to us from Austin, Texas! She is a classical pianist in addition to being a music educator and advocator!

#3: We implemented our first {intergenerational} programming (of many to come!) through our 4th Impulse Festival, which is a festival where audience members create art alongside live music performances. Music is a powerful connection that can be shared between people and we would like our community members of all ages together to experience what it means to be lifelong lovers and learners of music.

We are able to make our mission of providing open access to quality pianos, music education, and live music engagement opportunities thanks to community members like you! If our mission resonates with you, please consider making a donation that will go directly towards Piano Bank, Harmony Hub, or Mundi Live!
